FAQ

Which quick release should I choose?
CDR is Conspit's newer auto-locking system. CDP is the three-bolt 50 mm PCD pogo-pin block. Motor, encoder and torque are identical, so pick the one that matches the wheels you already own. Ask us if you are not sure.
How much torque?
20 Nm holding torque, driven by a skew-pole direct-drive motor and a 23-bit optical encoder.
How is it different from the ARES 12?
The Platinum delivers 20 Nm instead of 12 Nm with the same optical encoder and control system, in a larger 7.9 kg body.
Can I use an emergency stop?
Yes, the optional CES external e-stop quickly deactivates the motor, useful for coaching, sim centers, or supervised play.

After trying my hands at Moza’s budget and kid-range wheel bases I kept wanting a little more than what the bases could give me. After many hours of research on different brands, I settled on the Ares Platinum. This wheel base gives me all the details I want and need, while also being very composed. On my previous Moza gear I never could quite catch when the wheel slides or the front end load of the car. On the Ares Platinum, almost instantly from day one of testing, I was able to catch the slides, feel when I was under steering or oversteering and adjust quickly. Not to sound hyperbolic, but this is one of the best wheel bases I’ve tried and at it’s given price, it is a no-brainer for me or anyone who is looking for a high-torque base with really good FFB and usability.
